Glee’s 100th Episode! Be sure to tune in!
Current and alumni members of New Directions reinvent their favorite performances in the series’ 100th episode.
This morning Lea made a guest appearance on Good Morning America to talk about her new album Louder. She also performed her song Battlefield.
“Glee” star Lea Michele has had a whirlwind year — getting through the tragedy of losing her boyfriend, Cory Monteith last summer as a result of a heroin and alcohol overdose.
The multiple Grammy and Emmy-nominee now has a new solo album, “Louder,” which was released today — a feat Michele said this morning on “Good Morning America” would never had been possible without the enduring support of her friends and family.
“I’m really very, very, very thankful for all the amazing people I have in my life,” Michele, 27, explained to George Stephanopoulos. “I know that sounds like something everyone says, but honestly, my friends and my family, they got me through this and really, really have been there for me and I couldn’t have done it without them.”
One of Michele’s fans on Twitter compared listening to the new album to reading the star’s diary, a window into her life.
“That’s really what I sought out to do when making this record,” she agreed. “Moving to Los Angeles from working on Broadway I was cast on ‘Glee’ within just a few weeks, so I really was introduced to the world as Rachel Berry.
“I wanted to take this opportunity in making this record to really let my fans know who I am, and I think the music should be personal,” she said of her much more introspective creative endeavor.
The songstress has quite a few projects keeping her busy, which is helping her take the ending of “Glee” after this coming season in stride.
“Just getting through one episode is very difficult, so to think about 33 from now, we have a lot still to do,” she said. However, when thinking of the very last day on set, Michele admits, “that day will be beyond, beyond, beyond emotional.”
Although her infamous character, Rachel Berry, is soon coming to an end, Michele’s fans will have plenty of opportunities to keep in touch with Michele.
She’s hoping to take the few weeks of down time she’ll have this coming summer to tour her new album, “Louder,” overseas to thank her worldwide fans. Then when she’s completely done with “Glee” in 2015, she’ll plan for a domestic tour.
Michele even has a new book coming out in May, “Brunette Ambition,” which she’s really proud of, considering she never thought of herself as a writer.
“I felt that I had I had a lot I wanted to say for my fans and for young girls who wanted to hear a little bit about my story,” she said. “So many of my fans want to know how I got to where I am today, and want to see the obstacles I had to cross to get to where I am.”
And as for any future plans to ever return to her original Broadway roots, Michele says there are just a few things she wants to explore first.
“I was so surprised with how much I fell in love with this recording process in making this album and I definitely want to make another one,” she explained. “So once I feel like I’ve scratched that itch completely, Broadway is definitely where my heart is.”
Lea introduces an all new trailer released for her animated film “Legends of Oz: the Return of Dorothy” which hits theaters in May.
Tina, Blaine and Sam plan a senior lock-in to celebrate their upcoming graduation, but things go awry when Becky joins them. Meanwhile, Elliot finds himself in the middle of Rachel and Santana’s fight.

Glee spoke with MTV about releasing her first album and how this is a scary leap.
‘Glee’ star opens up to MTV News about making the transition to pop star with her album Louder.
After dropping the empowering lead single, “Cannonball” last week, “Glee” star Lea Michele is preparing to make the full transition to pop singer on her debut album, Louder, and she admits she’s feeling the pressure.
“It’s really scary ’cause this is all me. But I think that this is the obvious, like, natural next step. I think that ‘Glee’ is the greatest blessing that’s ever come into my life,” she told MTV News. “I am so grateful to [show creator] Ryan Murphy and to, especially, to Adam and Alex Anders, who are the two guys we work on the music with. These guys have made so many dreams come true for me and they’ve helped me create such an awesome platform to continue in my life and accomplish more of my dreams.”
And while fans know her small-screen persona Rachel Berry pretty intimately after five seasons of shenanigans on Fox, she says now it’s time for them to know who she is as a person.
She explained, “What’s funny I was talking to my mom and she’s like ‘This is the opportunity for people to really get to see you, who you are in a personal way,’ ” she said. “And I’m excited about that because I’ve played a character for so long, singing these cover songs, which has been so awesome, and now I’m kind if ready to let people know who Lea Michele really is.”
With Louder only months away from its March 4 release, Michele broke down a bit of what fans will see when it drops.
“It’s emotional and uplifting. It’s empowering, and at the same time there’s still those really great songs in it that are just fun and that are happy,” she said of the album, which will also include two tracks written after the death of boyfriend Cory Monteith in July. “There’s still those bright lights and those shining moments within the album. It’s just a really an incredible, somehow, explanation of what this past year of my life has been like.”
And, that means that when she gets the time, she also has plans to eventually take Louder out on the road.
“Hopefully, eventually, at some point I’ll be able to tour,” she said. “I know that ‘Glee’ we are so lucky to have the most incredible fanbase all over the world, so I really, really hope I get the opportunity soon to do a tour, to get to see all the fans all over the world and bring this album to them.”
