She’s been a severe state of mourning since the tragic and sudden death of her boyfriend Cory Monteith, and finally Lea Michele has released a statement.
The “Glee” actress had struggled through her late love’s drug addiction and stood by him all the way, and in her profound grief she reached out to her fans via Twitter.
Michele and Monteith dated for over a year, and at the time of his death earlier this month things seemed to be going well with their relationship.

Before her on-and-off set boyfriend Cory Monteith’s sudden death, Lea Michele revealed the level of her love for the “Glee” star in the August 2013 issue of Marie Claire Mexico.
During her Q&A session with the publication, the 26-year-old actress opened up about her relationship with the 31-year-old and what it’s like to date someone she works with.
“It’s more interesting having a relationship with someone you work with because we get more attention because we play boyfriend and girlfriend on the show and we are also in real life,” Miss Michele explained. “But he is the best person I know, he has made my life so incredible, and I am so thankful for him and notonly to have him as a partner but also as a co-worker.”
In regards to her time with Mr. Monteith, Lea said, “It is important to have someone that supports and encourage you, someone that makes you feel that you are unstoppable, that you can do anything in the world because you have him.”
On July 13, Cory passed away while staying at the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel in Vancouver. His autospy revealed the star died from a mixture of toxicity including heroin and alcohol. His death was concluded to be nothing more than a “sad and tragic accident.”

It was meant to be a fun night with friends. It’s been revealed that Lea Michele was having a ‘girls’ night’ after returning home from Mexico, when she received the devastating news that her partner, Cory Monteith, had passed away.
A source close to the Glee actress has revealed the horrific night the 26-year-old found out her lover had died of a heroin and alcoholic overdose in Canada on July 13. People revealed the actress was ‘was at home and in a great mood, enjoying a girls’ night in’ when another friend hastily called her with the terrible news her boyfriend had died.
A friend told the magazine: ‘Lea started freaking out, she was distraught.
‘No one knew what to say. It was horrible. She couldn’t believe it.’A distraught and screaming Lea was quickly taken to a close friend’s home so she did not have to face being photographed or be alone.
The source said: ‘She needed to get out of her house, it was extremely emotional. So she left and stayed in the home of her friend.’
Lea has been largely grieving by herself but joined Cory’s family at a private cremation in Vancouver last week to say goodbye to her 31-year-old beau.
Speaking to In Touch, Cory’s first cousin Richard Monteith revealed the 31-year-old actor’s ashes will most likely be scattered in the three cities that meant the most to him.
Richard said: ‘I think Cory’s mom wants to spread some of the ashes in the different places he loved.
‘I think she wanted to cremate him so they could spread his ashes in Los Angeles, Vancouver, and Victoria and keep a little bit for the family.’
Cory grew up between Victoria and Vancouver, both in British Columbia.
Los Angeles, California, is of course where he found fame and met love Lea.
The Glee star has yet to speak in public however, her spokesperson has released a statement on her behalf.
Her spokesperson said at the time: ‘Lea is deeply grateful for all the love and support she’s received from family, friends, and fans.
‘(Lea and Cory’s family) are supporting each other as they endure this profound loss together. We continue to ask the media to respect the privacy of Lea and Cory’s family.’

Lea Michele is trying to come to terms with the death of love Cory Monteith — and revelations from coroners on Tuesday that the Glee actor had accidentally overdosed on heroin and alcohol. “Lea has been inconsolable,” one source close to the singer and actress, 26, tells Us Weekly, adding that Michele “didn’t know” that Monteith had relapsed with heroin following his April rehab stint.
For now, the FOX star is keeping her mind occupied with funeral arrangements. “She’s been talking with Cory’s family the entire time and wants to plan the whole funeral,” another insider says. Working with her Canadian-born beau’s family, Michele is “planning the whole thing,” the source says.
It has, understandably, been a truly difficult time since Saturday’s shocking news. “It’s an absolute mess,” the second insider says. “It’s just devastating, tragic news. A lot of his friends in L.A. had no idea how bad his drug use was. Everyone is still shocked beyond belief.”
At Michele’s side for the ordeal is actor Jonathan Groff — her best friend who became a Broadway star alongside Michele in 2006′s Spring Awakening, and who played Jesse St. James, romantic rival to Finn (Monteith) for Michele’s Glee character, Rachel Berry. “He flew to be with her as soon as he heard,” another pal says. “His heart is broken for her — and he loved Cory too. The three of them would hang out together.”
Via her rep, Michele broke her silence about Monteith’s passing with a statement late Tuesday. “Lea is deeply grateful for all the love and support she’s received from family, friends, and fans. Since Cory’s passing, Lea has been grieving alongside his family and making appropriate arrangements with them. They are supporting each other as they endure this profound loss together.”

Not in attendance at the viewing was Monteith’s father, Joe Monteith, who told TMZ that he wasn’t made aware of the cremation until after the fact. Joe, who divorced wife Ann when his son was 7 and was estranged from him for years after, said he’s “totally devastated” he didn’t get a chance to see Monteith one last time.
“I always loved both my sons and am going to miss Cory very, very much,” Joe told TMZ. “I’m saddened at the fact that I couldn’t have been there to see my son before he was cremated.”
