For years actress Lea Michele has vocally opposed horse-drawn carriages. While many people think that a ride around Central Park is a romantic choice for Valentine’s Day, Michele wholeheartedly disagrees.

PETA reports that the “Glee” star said, “The one thing I find the least romantic is taking a horse and carriage ride. I can’t express enough how unhappy these horses are and how much pain and suffering they go through each day. Please do not ride [in horse-drawn carriages]. Take a beautiful walk together with your loved ones instead of bringing more pain to these beautiful animals.”

So what might Michele be doing with her costar and significant other Cory Monteith? She said, “My idea of the perfect romantic Valentine’s Day is staying at home, cooking a yummy dinner, and watching a really scary movie.”

The mostly vegan actress might whip up her delicious dairy-free lasagna roll ups. She also recently told friend and vegan Alicia Silverstone how much she loved the lentil stew from The Kind Life.

What we do know for sure is that the singer is continuing to voice her opinion about the suffering behind horse-drawn carriages, bringing attention to the cause, and perhaps getting people to rethink the industry.
